Dr. Hirst has served as a member of our board of directors since August 2000. From August 2000 to October 2007, Dr. Hirst served as Chairman of our board of directors. Dr. Hirst is a medical doctor and until November 2001 was a practitioner in the area of breast cancer diagnosis. She serves as a director of Suncorp-Metway Ltd, a publicly-held banking, insurance, investment and superannuation company. Dr. Hirst was Chancellor of Queensland University of Technology from 1994 until September 2004.
Dr. Hirst received a M.B.B.S. and a B.Ed.St. from the University of Queensland.
