Peplin has developed a validated clinical scale manufacturing process for its lead compound PEP005 (ingenol mebutate), a well characterized and purified single molecular entity sourced from a rapidly growing plant called Euphorbia peplus. The production process involves cultivation, post-harvest processing, extraction, purification and formulation. These activities are undertaken by various contractors based in south-east Queensland and internationally.

As part of our ongoing process to develop an improved and more efficient extraction and purification technology, Peplin has consulted various research bodies to assist in development of the technology.
